T145-W vs. T125-W or wired T145?
The T145-W is the wireless variant of the wired T145, with identical throughput specs and port counts.

The T145-W is identical to the T145 in every performance and port spec, including 710
Mbps UTM throughput, the SFP/SFP+ fiber port, and 25 Branch Office VPN tunnels. The only difference is
the built-in Wi-Fi 7 radio with external dual-band antennas on the T145-W. If your site needs
integrated wireless and you do not want to buy and manage a separate access point, the T145-W is the
straightforward choice.
The T145-W uses Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) with external SMA antennas, supporting higher
aggregate throughput and lower latency than Wi-Fi 6 and 6E connections. The external antennas let you
orient them for better coverage in your space. For a single open-plan office with up to 75 users, the
built-in radio provides solid coverage. Larger or multi-floor sites should add dedicated WatchGuard AP
hardware managed through the same WatchGuard Cloud account.
Yes. Like the wired T145, the T145-W is built around an ultra-low-power CPU that
allows fully fanless operation at all load levels. It runs silently, making it a good fit for
open-plan offices, reception areas, and quiet environments where fan noise would be disruptive. Adding
the Wi-Fi 7 radio does not change the fanless design of the appliance.
The SFP/SFP+ port accepts 1Gb SFP or 10Gb SFP+ transceivers for a high-speed fiber
WAN uplink or a connection to a core switch. This lets the T145-W handle multi-gig fiber ISP circuits
without the copper WAN port creating a throughput bottleneck. Transceivers are sold separately and
must be compatible with WatchGuard hardware.
Yes. The T145-W supports active/passive and active/active HA clustering in the same
way as the wired T145. Two T145-W units can cluster together for failover or load sharing. HA requires
WatchGuard's HA license, and both units in the cluster must be the same model. Both wired and wireless
interfaces participate in the cluster configuration.
