The Firebox M695 is the highest-performance 1U firewall in WatchGuard's M Series. With antivirus, IPS, and application control all running simultaneously, the M695 delivers 10.2 Gbps UTM throughput. HTTPS inspection with IPS enabled reaches 5.2 Gbps, and IPS full-scan throughput reaches 10.8 Gbps.

The M695 includes 12 built-in 2.5 Gbps RJ45 ports, 2 built-in 10 Gbps RJ45 copper ports, 4 built-in 1 Gbps SFP fiber ports, and 4 built-in 10 Gbps SFP+ fiber ports, all standard with no expansion module required. That is 22 network ports across multiple speed tiers for maximum deployment flexibility.

The M695 is the next-generation successor to the M690. It delivers 45 Gbps firewall throughput versus 29.7 Gbps, 10.2 Gbps UTM throughput versus 4.6 Gbps, and 30,000,000 concurrent connections versus 15,000,000. The M695 also supports 2,000 BOVPN tunnels versus 1,000 and comes with built-in multi-gig port density that the M690 does not match.

The M695 is ideal for single-location enterprise hubs and large branch deployments. If you need 5,000 or more Branch Office VPN tunnels, a chassis with two expansion module slots for custom port configurations, or redundant hot-swap dual power supplies as a standard feature, the M4800 or M5800 is the appropriate next step.
