Is the M595 Right for Your Enterprise?
The M595 replaces the M590 with multi-gig ports, higher throughput, and a larger connection table. For
organizations that need even greater VPN scale or data center-class performance, the M4800 and M5800 extend
the M Series further. Compare the full lineup to dial in the right fit.
The M595 is the next-generation successor to the M590. It delivers 43 Gbps firewall
throughput versus 20 Gbps, 7.2 Gbps UTM throughput versus 3.3 Gbps, and supports 15,000,000 concurrent
connections versus 6,000,000. The M595 also includes built-in multi-gig ports (12x2.5G, 2x10G copper,
4x10G SFP+), replacing the M590's 8x1G plus 2x SFP+ configuration.
The M595 is designed for enterprise environments with up to approximately 1,200 users
at a single location or as a hub for a large distributed deployment. Its 7.2 Gbps UTM throughput and
15,000,000 concurrent connection table give it plenty of headroom for busy networks.
Yes. The M595 includes two 10 Gbps RJ45 copper ports and four 10 Gbps SFP+ fiber ports
built into the base appliance, plus twelve 2.5 Gbps RJ45 ports and two 1 Gbps SFP ports. No expansion
module is required for high-speed connectivity.
The M595 delivers 4.8 Gbps HTTPS inspection throughput with IPS enabled, one of the
highest figures in its class. This makes the M595 well suited for enterprises where most traffic is
TLS-encrypted and HTTPS inspection is a mandatory security requirement.
Yes. The M595 supports both active/passive and active/active high availability
configurations. In active/active mode, both appliances process traffic simultaneously, effectively
doubling available throughput at your site while maintaining full redundancy.
