Specifications
Switch 14-24-FPoE at a Glance
Full PoE+ on Every Port
All 24 copper ports support 802.3af/at PoE+ with up to 30W per port and a 410W total PoE budget. Time
Management Options allow scheduled power delivery per port to reduce energy consumption outside of
business hours.
Performance
128 Gbps non-blocking switching capacity with a 32K MAC table and 1.5M packet buffer. Four 10G SFP+
uplinks provide high-speed connectivity to your core switch or SonicWall firewall, keeping inter-VLAN
and internet traffic fast.
Management
Managed through SonicWall firewalls or Wireless Network Manager for centralized VLAN configuration,
per-port PoE control, switch software upgrades, and zero-touch deployment. Also supports standalone web
GUI, CLI, SSH, and SNMP monitoring.
Power and Form Factor
480W fixed power supply (100-240 VAC). Maximum power consumption: 500.4W. Two cooling fans. 1U
rackmount design: 440 x 260 x 44mm, 3.9 kg. MTBF rated at over 157,000 hours. Includes a serial console
port for out-of-band management.
Need 48 PoE+ Ports Instead of 24?
The Switch 14-48-FPoE doubles the port count to 48 with 730W of total PoE budget while keeping the same 4
x 10G SFP+ uplinks, all in a single 1U appliance.
The Switch 14-24-FPoE has 24 PoE+ ports with a total budget of 410W. How many devices
you can run simultaneously depends on each device's power draw. For example, 16 access points drawing
25W each would consume 400W, comfortably within budget. A mix of 20 VoIP phones at 6W and 6 access
points at 25W would total 270W, leaving ample headroom. The switch manages power distribution
automatically and supports priority-based power feeding to protect critical devices first.
Yes. The Switch 14-24-FPoE is an ideal companion for SonicWave access points. The
802.3at PoE+ standard and 30W per-port capacity cover the power requirements of SonicWave 231, 621,
and 641 series APs. When both the switch and the access points are managed through a SonicWall
firewall or Wireless Network Manager, you get unified visibility, VLAN-based wireless segmentation,
and centralized policy management from a single interface.
The Switch 14-24-FPoE requires a minimum 10-amp power circuit. With a 480W power
supply and maximum consumption of 500.4W (including full PoE load), it is important to ensure the
circuit and power strip or PDU in your rack can support the load. In high-density PoE deployments,
verify your rack power budget before installation.
Yes. The Switch 14-24-FPoE supports IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol
(LACP) and static link aggregation (port trunking). You can bond two or more of the 10G SFP+ uplinks
into a single logical link for increased bandwidth and uplink redundancy. If one physical uplink
fails, traffic automatically flows through the remaining links without interruption.
The Switch 14-24 is a non-PoE model with a 25W power supply that draws only 24.4W,
making it a lightweight, passively cooled choice for environments where all devices have their own
power supplies. The Switch 14-24-FPoE adds 802.3at PoE+ to all 24 ports, a 480W power supply, and two
cooling fans to handle the additional thermal load. Choose the FPoE if you need to power access
points, cameras, or phones directly from the switch.
