Both stop known and unknown threats and manage from a single cloud console, so the right pick comes down to budget, scale, and how much control you want over the underlying engine. Advanced covers the core: NGAV and EDR on one lightweight agent, multi-engine detection, cloud sandbox, device control, and live threat hunting, all managed in SonicWall Unified Management. Premier adds historical threat hunting and 30-day EDR telemetry retention for deeper forensic visibility. SonicSentry MDR is the fully managed service, layering on a 24x7 SOC, managed threat hunting and response, and no commitments or minimums. It is a subscription licensed per protected endpoint and sold in endpoint-count tiers on monthly or multi-year terms. No. Endpoint Security Advanced is cloud-managed and runs on its own, so you can protect endpoints whether or not you own a SonicWall firewall.
