Barracuda F12
The entry point in the F-Series. A fanless desktop appliance for the smallest branch offices and home workers that need enterprise-grade SD-WAN and security without a rack. Zero-touch deployment gets the site online without a certified engineer on location.
Shop Barracuda F12 →
Barracuda F18
A step up from the F12 for small branch offices with more concurrent users or heavier VPN workloads. Still fanless and desktop-sized, with more throughput headroom and the same zero-touch deployment and Firewall Control Center management.
Shop Barracuda F18 →
Barracuda F80
The first rackmount model in the F-Series, built for small businesses ready to move security into the equipment rack. Multi-port design, a full IPS and ATP security stack, and Firewall Control Center integration for centralized policy management across multiple sites.
Shop Barracuda F80 →
Barracuda F180
More throughput and session capacity than the F80 for growing SMB environments where the firewall is simultaneously handling site-to-site VPN, SD-WAN bonding, and full security inspection. A common fit for offices that have outgrown their previous appliance.
Shop Barracuda F180 →
Barracuda F193
The top of the SMB tier, with enhanced IPS and VPN throughput for organizations where security inspection load has grown with the business. Same Firewall Control Center management workflow and zero-touch deployment as every other F-Series model.
Shop Barracuda F193 →
Barracuda F280
The entry point to the mid-market tier. Hardware-accelerated encryption, multi-gigabit firewall throughput, and the SD-WAN capabilities needed to replace costly MPLS circuits with commodity broadband without degrading application performance across distributed locations.
Shop Barracuda F280 →
Barracuda F380
A step up in throughput and concurrent session capacity for busier mid-market sites. Handles heavier SSL inspection and VPN workloads without sacrificing SD-WAN performance, making it a solid fit for offices with high remote-worker or video conferencing demand.
Shop Barracuda F380 →
Barracuda F400
The top of the mid-market tier, delivering enterprise-class throughput and session scale in a space-efficient 1U chassis. A common choice for large branch offices and regional hub sites where the firewall needs to keep pace with growing traffic without taking up extra rack space.
Shop Barracuda F400 →
Barracuda F600
The entry point into Barracuda's enterprise chassis line. 10GbE interface options, high-availability clustering, and the processing headroom to run full threat inspection at multi-gigabit line rates across a large campus or data center edge deployment.
Shop Barracuda F600 →
Barracuda F800
Built for large campus networks and enterprise perimeter deployments where session counts and inspection throughput are the primary constraints. Combines high concurrent session capacity with the redundancy features required for always-on firewall and SD-WAN services.
Shop Barracuda F800 →
Barracuda F900
Near the top of the Barracuda enterprise lineup and sized for large enterprise perimeter and inter-data-center deployments where throughput and redundancy cannot be compromised. High-availability pairs are the standard configuration at this tier.
Shop Barracuda F900 →
Barracuda F1000B
The flagship of the Barracuda CloudGen Firewall F-Series. Built for the largest enterprise perimeters and highest-traffic data center environments where firewall throughput, concurrent session scale, and redundancy are requirements the hardware cannot compromise.

Licenses & Renewals
Keep your Barracuda CloudGen Firewall protected with active Energize Updates, Advanced Threat Protection, and support subscriptions. A lapsed license cuts off real-time threat signature updates and manufacturer support. Multi-year terms are available and typically save money over annual renewals.

Barracuda CloudGen Firewall FAQ
Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls are next-generation appliances designed for distributed enterprises. Every unit includes IPS, application control, URL filtering, advanced threat protection, and SD-WAN built in, all managed from a single Barracuda Firewall Control Center console. The F-Series lineup spans fanless desktop units for micro-branches up to high-density 2U chassis for enterprise data centers.
Barracuda uses its proprietary TINA (Transport Independent Network Architecture) protocol to bond and balance traffic across any combination of broadband, LTE, and MPLS circuits. The firewall monitors link health continuously and reroutes traffic automatically when a circuit degrades. Voice, video, and other latency-sensitive applications are prioritized without manual intervention, and expensive MPLS circuits can be reduced or replaced with commodity broadband.
Zero-touch deployment lets you pre-stage a Barracuda CloudGen Firewall in the cloud-hosted Firewall Control Center before the unit ships to the branch. The appliance arrives, a local staff member plugs in the WAN connection, and the device downloads its full configuration automatically. No certified engineer has to travel to the site, which cuts deployment costs and gets new locations online in hours rather than days.
As a general guide, the F12 and F18 cover micro-branches up to 50 users; the F80, F180, and F193 suit SMB environments from 50 to 300 users; the F280 through F400 handle distributed mid-market networks from 300 to about 1,000 users; and the F600 through F1000B are sized for large campus and data center deployments above 1,000 users. Final sizing depends on concurrent session counts, VPN user load, and throughput requirements. Our engineers can spec the right unit after a short conversation.
The hardware includes stateful firewall, VPN, and routing capabilities out of the box. Advanced Threat Protection, Malware Protection, URL filtering, application control, and technical support are activated through annual subscription licenses called Energize Updates. Letting a subscription lapse disables real-time threat signature updates and manufacturer support. We can bundle hardware and a multi-year license into a single purchase order.
Yes. Barracuda Firewall Control Center is a centralized management platform that lets you author policies once and push them to every appliance in your network. Firmware updates, configuration changes, real-time monitoring, and reporting are all handled from one interface. Control Center is available as software you self-host or as a cloud-hosted service through Barracuda's infrastructure.
